Christmas away from my community back home is tough. Real tough.
What could I have wanted for Christmas this year? Besides getting to go home for Christmas (which didn't happen), or go to Hawaii with some of my closest friends (which ALMOST happened, but didn't), I had the privilege of catching the Christmas baby yesterday at 1:24 p.m.! The mama was AMAZING and pushed her baby into my hands with ease, with no tear, no PP hemorrhage...it was the best Christmas present ever. And she was SO happy to have a Christmas baby! (We get alot of moms in super early labor who come in on Christmas morning just because they want to have a Christmas baby. And of course they get sent home because they are like 2cm).
